Photos taken during a visit to the Butterfly Rainforest at the University of Florida in Gainesville. You can read about the visit here
Two Years ago, I donated 13 Monarch Cocoons to the Garden in Gainesville. I was living up there part time, and the weather took a warm spell, allowing my Milkweed to thrive and the eggs laid on it to hatch. Then, the weather got cold again, and after bringing in the plants to the laundry room, my concern was when they emerged that there would be NO nector plants for them. So I contacted the Garden and drove them to the Rainforest. Now living in Rockledge, I am fully engaged in developing my area for this
I will have many questions for you, and can share with you that “they” the Butterflys, are teaching me to find ways to help them.
