Species I've Raised
Buckeye (Common Buckeye)
Host Plant(s): The preferred host for egg laying is defintely Ribwort (also called Rib Grass and Plantain Grass). I have also had them lay on Buddleia (Buddleja). Once the eggs have hatched, I’ve raised the caterpillars on Ruella (also known as Mexican Petunia), which seeds and grows vigorously, making it a plentiful source of food.
